Our Little Bulldog

Today is Mississippi State's last home football game of the season. In honor of it, I thought I would share the story of Jackson's first trip to a game...

Jason and I were SO excited to take him to Starkville ...Okay, mostly Jason (If you don't know my husband well, let me explain it to you like this...In his life, there is God, Family, and The Mississippi State Bulldogs--in that order-- and I am NOT exaggerating!). This is a picture of the field at Jackson's first game...

Right when we got onto campus, Jackson's little lip started to turn out (all the people and noise, I suppose..). When we walked up the the tailgate, everyone was excited for him to be there, and gathered around him. He looked up at Jason and I and shrieked! I had never seen him cry like that before other than when he got his shots! Right then we knew this was not going to be the day we had planned, BUT Daddy was still REALLY excited to be there with his pride and joy...
We decided to "just try" to take him into the game. He was NOT happy, but after he got used to the crowd and the noise, he started to look around a little bit to see what all the fuss was about (still had that lip turned out...look how excited Jason is in ALL the pictures :) ...) He was doing okay for about 10 minutes--until kickoff. When the crowd roared for the first time, he went ballistic! That was it for me....So, Mommy and Jackson left the game, and went to hang out at the tailgate. It was hot that day. So, Jack-Jack got to strip down and work on his crawling, and I got to raid the yummy tailgate food!!
We'll try again next year. We KNOW he is a true bulldog fan at heart!
